Grass Monkey Lawn & Landscape to Light Up One North Texas Family’s Home for Free This Christmas
Justin, Texas, United States – October 31, 2026 – Grass Monkey Lawn & Landscape is giving one North Texas family a free professional Christmas light installation this holiday season. The company has opened public nominations for its 2026 Christmas Light Giveaway, and residents can nominate a local family who has faced a difficult year and could use some extra light this season.
Nominations are open now at https://grassmonkeydfw.com/2026-christmas-light-giveaway/ and close November 20, 2026. A nomination takes about two minutes. The nominator shares the family’s name, address, and story. Grass Monkey’s team reads every submission and will choose one winner on November 20.
“We’ve been taking care of yards in and around Justin for almost 20 years, so these families are our neighbors,” said Jacob Suchors, owner of Grass Monkey Lawn & Landscape. “We know a lot of people out here have had a rough year. Hanging lights is what we do, and we wanted to give one family a reason to smile every time they pull into the driveway this December.”
The winning family’s home will be decorated by Grass Monkey’s crew on a date that works for them, at no cost. The company only contacts the nominee if they are selected, and nominations otherwise stay private.
Who can be nominated
- Families whose home is within about 30 driving miles of Boyd, Texas, including Justin, Azle, Springtown, Rhome, and nearby communities
- Homes with a standard roofline where lights can be hung without modification
- Families outside the nominator’s own household (no self-nominations)
Nominators must be 18 or older, and each person may nominate one family. Photos and video of the finished home may be shared, but being on camera is optional for the winning family. No purchase is necessary. Full rules are available on the giveaway page.
Grass Monkey has provided mowing and landscaping services in and around Justin for nearly two decades and has offered professional Christmas light installation for the past eight years. The giveaway is the company’s way of giving back to the communities it serves.
