Brumbaugh Law Firm Sets $2,500 Fundraising Goal Ahead of Erie Shores Walk to End Alzheimer’s
SANDUSKY, Ohio – August 25, 2026 – Brumbaugh Law Firm is continuing its longstanding support of Alzheimer’s awareness and local families affected by the disease with a September 2 fundraiser benefiting its team in the Erie Shores Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
The firm has set a $2,500 fundraising goal for this year’s effort and will host a special happy hour on Wednesday, September 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Brumbaugh Law Firm, 1907 E. Perkins Avenue in Sandusky.
The event will feature beverages, snacks, raffles and an opportunity for community members to support the firm’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraising campaign. Those unable to attend can also purchase raffle tickets at the Brumbaugh Law Firm office during business hours through September 2.
The fundraiser represents more than a single annual event for the firm. Brumbaugh Law Firm has fielded a team for the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s for at least five years, while Pamela J. Brumbaugh, LSW, Director of Client Services, has maintained an extensive personal commitment to the local Alzheimer’s Association.
Brumbaugh chaired the local walk in both 2023 and 2024, has personally participated in the walk three times and remains a member of the local walk committee. She also served as a community educator with the local Alzheimer’s Association from 2021 through 2025.
“Having a team participate in the Alzheimer’s Walk is a meaningful way for our office to stand alongside the families we serve,” said Pamela J. Brumbaugh, LSW. “We hope our fundraising efforts not only provide financial support for Alzheimer’s research, education, and resources, but also help raise awareness in our community about the impact this disease has on individuals and their loved ones. We want families facing this journey to know that they are not alone, and that our community is here to support them.”
A Cause Closely Connected to the Families Brumbaugh Serves
The firm’s involvement also reflects the challenges its team sees among older adults and their families.
Brumbaugh Law Firm provides eldercare and estate planning services to families dealing with decisions surrounding aging, long-term care, estate planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, care navigation, powers of attorney and memory care.
That work can place the firm alongside families confronting many of the practical issues that accompany Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive decline, including planning for future care, protecting a loved one’s well-being and helping family caregivers understand the decisions ahead of them.
“This cause matters to us because we see firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s disease has on individuals and their families,” Brumbaugh said. “While neither Michael nor I have an immediate family member who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, our work with older adults and their families has given us the opportunity to advocate for and support families navigating this difficult journey.”
She added that raising awareness and supporting Alzheimer’s resources are ways the firm can help families feel less alone and better prepared for what lies ahead.
Who Brumbaugh Law Firm Serves and How It Approaches Elder Care
Brumbaugh Law Firm is a Sandusky, Ohio eldercare and estate planning law firm serving older adults and families confronting legal, financial and care-related decisions associated with aging.
Its work extends beyond preparing traditional estate planning documents to addressing interconnected issues such as long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, memory care and care navigation.
This combination allows the firm to address both the legal planning involved in aging and the real-world care decisions families may encounter as a loved one’s needs change. The firm places particular emphasis on helping families understand their options, prepare before a crisis when possible and navigate the practical consequences of the plans they put in place.
That connection between legal planning, elder care and family support is also a significant reason the firm continues to participate in Alzheimer’s awareness and fundraising efforts within the Sandusky community.
The Erie Shores Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Sandusky is scheduled for September 27, 2026.
Community members interested in attending the September 2 fundraiser are encouraged to RSVP by calling 419-504-0042 or emailing [email protected].
