Atlanta-based acupuncture center is run by Mark Schwartz. He recently completed his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) specializing in women’s health and reproductive medicine. He has been a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) since 2010. He is the only person in Georgia to hold both this degree and board certification.

Buckhead Acupuncture and Herbal Center and Mark Schwartz are pleased to announce that the acupuncture Atlanta center has the goal of compassionately working with patients to help them return to an optimal state of health. The acupuncture and herbal center provides individualized acupuncture treatments and customized herbal formulas. While their practitioners can address symptoms, they are intended to address the underlying cause of the patient’s medical condition according to Chinese Medicine principles. Acupuncture services are available in their Atlanta and Marietta offices which are convenient to anyone living in the following areas: Atlanta, John’s Creek, Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Decatur, Marietta, Decatur, and Virginia Highlands.

The Atlanta acupuncture brand of Buckhead Acupuncture and Herbal Center was founded by Mark Schwartz. He was named a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM) in 2010 (https://aborm.org/patients/). Mark’s research capstone paper was one of the final milestones needed to fulfill graduation requirements from the doctoral program. The paper is titled ‘The Impact of Chinese Herbal Medicine on In Vitro Fertilization Outcomes: A Systematic Review.’ The DAOM degree is the culmination of an additional three years of didactic courses, specialized clinical training and research. It represents the highest degree available for Chinese medical studies in the United States.

Mark is one of only four people in Georgia certified as a fellow of the American Board of Oriental Medicine. Because of this, he is uniquely qualified to provide the best in integrative care and Chinese reproductive medicine. Over time as patients overcome an ailment such as infertility, migraines, or PMS, they are encouraged to continue treatment on a less frequent basis to maintain health and prevent future occurrences of disease. The treatments are designed to maintain health, prevent disease, and minimize the occurrence of illness.

A spokesperson for the Buckhead center explained, “Chinese Medicine has a rich history of using acupuncture to extend life and prevent disease both in terms of quality and length. In China, there is a saying which goes, “A superior physician treats patients before disease occurs, the mediocre doctor treats when the patient is on the verge of succumbing to illness, and the inferior doctor treats only when there is already disease.”
